Who We Are
The World Health Summit (WHS) is the leading platform for global health. It brings together stakeholders from politics, science, the private sector, and civil society from around the world to catalyze collaborative and innovative solutions for key global health priorities.
By uniting diverse perspectives and building unique opportunities, the World Health Summit fosters cross-sectoral exchange, evidence-based dialogue, and impactful partnerships. Scientific findings and new insights are translated into policies and real-world impact, driving progress toward a more equitable, resilient, and healthier future for all.
How We Work
The World Health Summit brings together diverse voices through a variety of formats throughout the year, fostering dialogue and collaboration across regions and sectors.
The flagship event is the annual World Health Summit in Berlin, held every October. Over three days, the annual summit convenes leaders and changemakers from politics, science, the private sector, and civil society to address the most pressing global health challenges. The event gathers more than 4,000 participants on-site in Berlin and over 40,000 online, with representatives from 140 countries and more than 400 speakers, fostering cross-sectoral collaboration and exchange.
Beyond the annual summit, the WHS Regional Meetings bring these conversations to different parts of the world. By bringing together stakeholders from the host region, they foster dialogue on regional and local health priorities while connecting regional expertise with the global health agenda.
The hosts of the WHS Regional Meetings rotate annually among the member institutions of the WHS Academic Alliance, the academic network of the World Health Summit. By bringing together leading academic institutions worldwide, the Alliance fosters science-based collaboration and connects the academic community to inform global health agendas, ensuring that the World Health Summit remains grounded in the latest scientific evidence and best practices.
Throughout the year, the WHS Global Health Dialogues create focused spaces for exchange. In more intimate settings and across changing themes, thought leaders and decision-makers come together to discuss a wide range of global health issues and advance innovative solutions.
